Ranthambhore National Park and Tiger Reserve

The Sojourn we have chosen to feature on the website is the 2020 "Trishuls & Tigers" Sojourn. We picked our guests up upon arrival  in New Delhi at about 3:45AM and greeted them with garlands. We then boarded our private coach, with stand-up headroom, white linen covered seats, A/C, and onboard Wi-Fi, and whisked them straight down to Agra. We checked into our hotel, and then went straight to the Agra Fort. (All hotels on our Sojourns are 5 Star hotels, unless otherwise requested. That said, not all 5 Star hotels are created equal, or priced the same, either. We will tailor your Sojourn to fit your proposed budget and itinerary. We have relationships with all of the hotels we frequent, so not only will the accommodations be lovely, the service will be exceptional.) The next day, we left early for "Sunrise over the Taj Mahal," which did not disappoint. We were fortunate enough to have an ideally cloudless morning, which created an exceptional pink glow on the white marble, as well as incredible reflections off of the inlay work. Sorry that the pictures really do NOT do it justice.

After Agra, we drove in our private coach to Ranthambhore, for a couple of days of Tiger and wildlife safaris. On our FIRST DAY, within the first 2 hours in the jeep, we spotted "Arrowhead," a 4 year old Tigress, who has 2 cubs. Our safari guide/driver, who has been driving 2 safaris, twice a day, for 12 years, said he has NEVER been HALF as close to any tiger. We had a lovely birthday celebration for Bhairavi as well, even thought a "Tigress Birthday" is a pretty great birthday to begin with.

Next we took our private coach to Jaipur, for some sightseeing and more shopping. These guys were shoppers, and we found amazing shops in every stop along the route!

Then off to Mumbai! Where we visited the Elephanta Caves, the Gateway to India, had amazing meals all over the city, and shopped until we dropped. We partied at the most posh, Bollywood Star-Studded Holi event in Mumbai, called Zoom Holi Fest, held at the Taj Lands End hotel, We stayed in an exclusive, boutique hotel in Bandra, which everyone loved.

Then back off to Delhi for a couple of days of museums, and even more shopping, before heading to the airport, and back to the US!

This is a typical example of a Sojourn, that is heavy on luxury, sights and experiences, but maybe a bit light on the potential for a spiritual journey. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, or would like to discuss planning a Sojourn of your own! ;-)

The Trishuls & Tigers 2020 guys - Gary, Robert & John

Please remember we are NOT professional tour guides, nor travel agents, etc. We are teachers, and seekers ourselves. You are joining us so that we may deepen and enrich your India experience. We obviously have no control over things such as cancelled, missed, or delayed flights, the weather, flat tires, etc. Nor will we be held responsible for them. In India, these kinds of things happen on a regular basis, however, we will do everything within our power to avoid and/or plan around them.

But we can and will be responsible for the personalized experience we provide.  We have built strong relationships in virtually every place that we will take you, including hotels, heritage homes, restaurants, temples, priests, transportation companies, even local taxi drivers. That said, our hope is that on top of the navigating, guiding, translating, negotiating, organizing and the other many things that will be required to have a safe and enjoyable trip for all, you will enjoy the many paradoxical faces of India through the bespoke sojourn that we will deliver.

The Yatra we have chosen to feature on the website is the 2020 "Becoming a Sakshi" Yatra. What was supposed to be a larger group of women, ended up as just two, however there was no shortage of magic, or experiences, as you can see. A Yatra, or Pilgrimage, is a spiritual quest to find what you've been looking for. As seekers ourselves, we have ventured to every corner of Bharat. Please tell us what you seek, and what your soul is searching for, and allow us to personally tailor a Yatra of a minimum of two weeks for you.
